In attesa della fastosa cerimonia prevista domenica 16 settembre, che sarà seguita in diretta per l’Italia da Jimmy a partire dalle 2 di notte (o di lunedì mattina), sabato scorso a Los Angeles sono stati consegnati i cosiddetti Creative Arts Emmys che premiano le categorie meno in vista ma non meno importanti degli show televisivi, come regia e produzione.

 

Vincitore assoluto della serata è stato HBO che si è aggiudicato ben 15 statuette, tra cui 5 per il movie "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" e 3 per il documentario "When the Levees Broke". E’ andata molto bene anche al network NBC, che si è aggiudicato 12 premi tra cui 3 per le migliori guest stars; seguono CBS con 9,  FOX con 7 e ABC con 4!

 

Tra i premi per noi più riconoscibili quelli per la miglior comparsata. Per la commedia, categoria femminile, è stata premiata l’attrice 82enne Elaine Stritch, che vince per la terza volta l’Emmy, stavolta come guest star per il ruolo della madre di Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) in "30 Rock"; nella categoria maschile trionfo di Stanley Tucci comparso eccezionalmente in "Monk". Nella sezione drama sono invece stati premiati Leslie Caron, guest star in "Law & Order: SVU" e John Goodman comparso in "Studio 60".
